Sizing comes first. Stand in your shoes and pick a stick that reaches about two inches below your hip bone. Rough guide: 34 inches if you're 4'7" to 5', 36 to 36.5 inches for 5'4" to 5'9", and 37.5 once you're pushing six feet.
